Lincoln’s Last Days
Steven J. Wright
Steven J. Wright is a research librarian for the Free
Library of Philadelphia. Wright has a Bachelor’s
degree in history from St. John’s University (Collegeville,
Minnesota), a Master’s degree in military history
from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and aMaster
of Library Science Degree from Drexel University. Having
served as the former Curator of Collections for The
Civil War Library and Museum, he is the author of a
short History of the Irish Brigade and is the contributor
to several other books on the Civil War, the battle
of the Little Big Horn, and Minnesota local history.
In addition, he has published more than 300 articles
and book reviews in such publications as Civil War Times,
Civil War News, Blue and Gray, America’s Civil
War, and The Surratt Courier. The former Recorder-in-Chief
of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United
States (MOLLUS), Wright is serving his third term as
President of the Old Baldy Civil War Round Table of
Philadelphia. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife,
Irene (a children’s librarian with the Free Library
of Philadelphia) and two neurotic cats.
